Payroll Specialist | 7-Month Fixed-Term role

Our client is a leading manufacturing business whose products are consumed across a number of markets and have become staples in our everyday. With a diverse portfolio of products, their brand has attracted interest in recent months with their large growth plans which are in motion which further demonstrates their leading role in the market.

The Leaders

As the Payroll Specialist, you’ll be joining a payroll team who sit as part of the broader P&C function and are dispersed across ANZ. You’ll report directly into a recently onboarded, highly experienced Payroll Manager with a track record of driving process improvement and leading strong teams.

The Opportunity

A multi-faceted role, you’ll be supporting the execution of important payroll and HR duties. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Upholding the integrity of all employee & payroll data; and providing this to the third party provider ahead of processing;
  • Executing a number of key other payroll functions including superannuation, payroll tax, leave reconciliation + more;
  • Responding to employee payroll queries in an efficient manner with a strong focus on customer service;
  • Working alongside your team to investigate and resolve historical payroll discrepancies and issues;
  • Continually looking for ways to streamline processes and improve efficiencies;
  • Supporting the broader team with payroll projects and other ad hoc pieces of work when needed.

About You

What will set you up for success in this role is a driven and proactive approach with a willingness to be hands-on and pitch in when and where it is needed.

You’ll have a strong fundamental end-to-end payroll skillset, and have proven experience in processing payroll in both Australia & New Zealand. You will have the technical capacity to be able to resolve current and historical payroll queries & issues, and be able to identify ways to improve processes and workflows.

Finally, you’ll be passionate about providing strong customer service experiences and be confident in building relationships with stakeholders across the business.

The Process

Following an initial meeting with a Levyl Consultant, you will go through likely 2 stages of interview, through which you will meet with the Payroll Manager and other members of the P&C team. Prior to commencement, background and police checks will need to be completed.
