Payroll & Workforce Analyst | Unique system optimisation opportunity!

Make an important impact on the payroll & HR opps function of this leading Australian business by building effective and accurate procedures within the Payroll and HCM software.

  • Embed compliant workforce management and payroll processes and develop SOPs for a newly implemented system
  • Lead & execute key remediation projects & build training resources for future use
  • 3-6 month FTC opportunity, strong potential for extension and/or permanency!

The Leaders

A cross-functional role, you’ll be sitting as part of the payroll team while also closely collaborating with the Employment Law & Compliance function. You will directly report into the Payroll & People Systems Manager, a well-tenured and systems-savvy Payroll leader, as well as the Compliance Manager. You’ll be expected to adhere to their leadership style which is highly collaborative, empowering, and nurturing in nature.

The Opportunity

A role crucial to establishing best practice operations and procedures within the Ceridian Dayforce system, your key responsibilities will encompass the following:

  • Analysing workflows and processes within the system and working to identify improvements where appropriate;
  • Conducting testing to ensure payroll processing is occurring in line with business context and legislative requirements;
  • Building SOPs and process maps;
  • Assessing any variances and if needed, executing remediation projects to rectify any errors;
  • Closely collaborating with the employment law team to embed requirements into the Payroll and HCM system;
  • Helping to develop training resources and materials for ongoing use by the business.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent analytical skills and a key eye for detail. You’ll have a natural strength with systems and a proven ability to identify & remedy errors as well as suggest & implement opportunities to streamline workflows.

You’ll also be confident in effectively partnering with the business to drive these changes, and have a solutions-focused approach. You will have strong reporting skills and be able to effectively analyse and explain the data to key stakeholders when making decisions.

Finally, you’ll be able to acclimatise to new environments at pace and be committed to making a positive difference on the organisation!

The Process

Following an initial meeting with a Levyl Consultant, you will meet with the Payroll & Systems Manager and potentially another stakeholder. Prior to commencement, background and police checks will need to be completed, as will be a psychometric assessment.
