The Leaders
This role reports to the Manager, Global Work Health & Safety who is a strategic, grounded leader focused on governance, safety planning, and enterprise-wide framework development. While there is some overlap between this role and broader WHS strategic planning, this position is intended as the technical authority within the team. The broader leadership team values emotional maturity, resilience, and professionalism – qualities critical for success given the evolving team dynamic!

This is a pivotal role responsible for developing and embedding a global WHS management system across multiple jurisdictions. The roadmap has been shaped, but the journey is still underway! Your ability to operate with ambiguity, influence without perfect structure, and provide technical clarity in an evolving environment will be essential.

About You
This role will suit someone who thrives in ambiguity, brings structure to the grey, and drives progress where systems are still evolving. You're hands-on, technically strong, and confident navigating WHS data with no clear escalation point.
Experience building or rebuilding WHS systems particularly aligned to ISO 45001 is essential, along with emotional maturity and professionalism in the face of change.
A background across both corporate and operational settings, ideally in risk, safety or engineering, will support success, as will a collaborative, learning-focused mindset. Above all, you bring grit, agility, and the drive to lead lasting WHS impact in a global environment!

- Develop, maintain, and evolve the global WHS management system aligned to ISO 45001 and internal frameworks
- Govern WHS processes including registers, policies, procedures, and frameworks at enterprise scale
- Act as the technical WHS authority – making sense of complex data, identifying trends, and providing guidance on improvements
- Review and enhance data integrity and record keeping, including injury and incident management systems
- Identify and deliver quick wins while scoping longer-term WHS system implementation
- Lead workplace incident investigations and collaborate across departments to resolve safety concerns
- Develop training programs and promote a culture of WHS accountability and shared learning
- Support a consistent national WHS framework and collaborate with stakeholders in both corporate and operational environments
