Sydney

Salary:

270,000.00 - 300,000.00 Year

The Company

This organisation is a key player in Australia’s energy future – operating critical infrastructure that powers millions of homes and businesses across the country. Culturally, they are values-led, sustainability-focused, and committed to lifting capability and inclusion across their diverse workforce. With headcount set to increase over the next few years, this is a business building not just infrastructure – but the future of the energy workforce.

The Leaders

This role reports into a highly regarded General Manager of P&C, who leads a collaborative and forward-thinking team that’s both progressive and delivery-focused. The broader leadership group is aligned, future-focused, and committed to leading the organisation through a significant period of transformation as it supports Australia’s energy transition.. You’ll work closely with executive stakeholders who are leading major capital programs and embedding a strong performance and safety culture across diverse operational environments.

The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to influence strategic people outcomes across one of the most ambitious infrastructure delivery portfolios in the country. As the Senior People & Culture Business Partner, you will be responsible for enabling performance, capability and culture across the Major Projects division, supporting the rapid scale-up of workforce and delivery capability.
Key areas of focus include:
  • Lead strategic workforce planning and organisational design to support large-scale project delivery
  • Embed leadership capability and succession frameworks across major project teams
  • Partner on talent, performance and engagement strategies aligned to program milestones
  • Supporting cultural transformation and change management through periods of expansion and innovation

About You

You are an experienced and strategic HR leader with a track record of partnering with senior leaders in complex, project-based environments. You’ll be a commercially minded business partner with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders and enabling change through people.

You bring expertise across workforce planning, organisational design, and leadership capability, and are confident navigating employee and industrial relations in regulated, unionised settings. You’re comfortable working across matrixed structures, collaborating with specialist teams to deliver integrated people solutions that drive both performance and engagement.

Ideally, you’ll have a background in sectors such as infrastructure, construction, engineering, energy, or transport, where delivery at scale and pace is the norm. Above all, you’re motivated by impact, collaboration, and the opportunity to shape Australia’s energy workforce of the future.

The Process

The recruitment process will include three stages following an initial meeting with a Levyl consultant, prior to references, background checks and offer. You will meet with key business stakeholders, with ample opportunity to understand the vision and scale of this transformation.

For any confidential enquiries, please contact Antony Jones on 0448 198 544 or antony@levyl.com.au.

Levyl encourage diverse, equitable and inclusive recruitment solutions and commit to respond to every applicant. We make selection and shortlist decisions based on your skills, experience, personal attributes, and motivators. Should you be successful for interview, we will tender you an interview accommodation checklist, so that you can let us know how we can support you to perform at your best.
