Contract Type:
Full Time
Location:
Sydney
Salary:
120,000 - 130,000 Year
The Organisation
Levyl is partnering with a well-established, privately owned Australian construction business to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner for an initial 12-month fixed-term contract. The organisation continues to grow rapidly, supported by a strong pipeline of major projects. This role will sit within the organisation’s Major Projects division, which delivers large-scale projects typically across two to five-year project lifecycles.
With longer project timelines and highly connected teams, the People & Culture function plays an important role in supporting leaders and employees throughout the full employee lifecycle. The organisation genuinely values its People & Culture team and provides its Business Partners with the opportunity to become closely embedded within their client groups, rather than operating at arm’s length.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing, family-owned business where decisions can be made quickly, strong performance is recognised and there is genuine opportunity to make an impact.
The Team
You will join a large and established People & Culture function that supports circa 950 employees across the business. Within the generalist Business Partnering team, there are a number of HR Business Partners, including Senior HR Business Partners, with portfolios divided geographically across the organisation.
You will work closely with an experienced HR leadership team and partner with leaders across a designated portfolio within the Major Projects division. The broader team operates collaboratively, while each Business Partner is trusted to build strong relationships and take ownership of their individual business groups.
The organisation’s HR Business Partner model is deliberately high-touch, with Business Partners expected to become a genuine point of contact for leaders and employees and provide proactive support across the full range of people matters.
The Opportunity
As a HR Business Partner, you will take ownership of a portfolio of around 150 employees across three major projects and work closely with leaders and employees throughout the full employee lifecycle.
This is a genuinely hands-on and relationship-focused Business Partnering role. You will spend time within your business groups, understand what is happening across the projects and build the credibility required to provide practical and commercially considered people advice.
The role will combine day-to-day business partnering with broader employee experience and organisational initiatives. You will support leaders across performance, capability, engagement, remuneration, employee relations and workforce planning, while also contributing to projects designed to strengthen the broader employee experience.
Specific responsibilities will include:
About You
This role would be well suited to an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys being close to the business, building trusted relationships and working within a fast-paced environment where there is plenty happening.
You will bring demonstrated experience operating at HR Business Partner level across a broad generalist portfolio and be comfortable supporting leaders through the full range of people matters. Strong capability across employee relations, performance, engagement, workforce planning and core People & Culture processes will be important.
This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys being embedded within their client group. You will be visible, accessible and comfortable spending time with leaders and teams to understand what is happening within the business!
The Process
The interview process will include an initial meeting with a Levyl team member, followed by a first-stage interview with members of the People & Culture leadership team, which may be conducted virtually or face-to-face.
The final interview will be held face-to-face with senior People & Culture leadership.
