The Leaders

Reporting to a newly appointed General Manager of People & Culture, you will be a trusted senior team member, influencing organisational outcomes. You will also partner closely with senior leaders across Commercial, Legal and System Planning & Financial Markets, providing strategic people advice while developing a small People team.

The Opportunity

This is a broad Senior People Partner position combining strategic business partnering with people leadership and ownership of key people frameworks that will support the organisation's continued growth.

You'll partner with senior leaders to shape workforce capability, strengthen governance and build scalable people practices while helping mature the People & Culture function.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Partner with senior leaders across Commercial, Legal and System Planning & Financial Markets on organisational design, workforce planning, succession planning and strategic people initiatives
  • Lead complex employee relations matters, providing trusted advice on performance, conduct, organisational change and workforce decisions
  • Design and continually improve people frameworks across performance, capability, succession, leadership development and people systems
  • Drive the organisation's workforce planning agenda, partnering with leaders to identify future capability requirements and workforce gaps
  • Maintain HR policy and legislative compliance, ensuring people practices remain current and fit for purpose
  • Own the annual performance and capability cycle, ensuring consistency and effective governance across the organisation
  • Lead, coach and develop the People & Safety Partner and People & Culture Coordinator while overseeing operational HR delivery
  • Partner with external learning and organisational development providers to deliver leadership and capability initiatives
  • Support enterprise governance through oversight of key people programs, committees and organisational development initiatives
  • Deputise for the General Manager of People & Culture as required

About You

You’ll be an experienced Senior HR Business Partner or Senior People Partner who can quickly build credibility and become a trusted adviser to senior leaders. With strong capability across organisational design, workforce planning, leadership coaching and complex ER, supported by sound employment law knowledge and commercial judgement you will thrive in a role like this.

Additionally, you will be confident strengthening people frameworks, developing HR professionals and influencing executive stakeholders in a fast-moving, technically specialised environment.

The Process

This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in the CBD, offering hybrid working. Interviews will commence immediately, with the successful candidate ideally commencing within the coming weeks.
