Contract Type:

Contractor

Location:

Sydney

Salary:

850.00 - 950.00 Day

The Company

This organisation plays a critical role in supporting Australia’s evolving energy landscape through large-scale infrastructure, policy and market initiatives. Operating independently with strong government and industry engagement, the business is entering a significant growth and transformation phase as it supports the delivery of future national energy capability programs.

Having successfully evolved from start-up to scale-up, the organisation is now focused on strengthening internal capability, governance and operational effectiveness during a period of substantial change. The culture is fast-paced, delivery-focused and highly collaborative, with a lean and commercially minded workforce drawn largely from infrastructure, energy, investment and professional services backgrounds.

The Leaders

Reporting into a newly appointed GM of People & Culture, you will also partner with senior leadership during a critical period of organisational change. The leadership team values pragmatic thinking, sound judgement and the ability to operate with pace, influence and autonomy.

The Opportunity

This role has been created to provide immediate senior HR leadership support during a period of organisational transformation, while helping establish fit-for-purpose people frameworks and governance capability for the future.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Partner directly with senior leaders on organisational design, workforce planning and structural change initiatives
  • Lead and advise on complex employee relations matters, including redundancies and change management activity
  • Provide strategic HR business partnering support across leadership, capability and people planning
  • Assess current HR operating models and recommend future permanent capability requirements
  • Introduce and strengthen HR governance, frameworks and decision-making processes
  • Coach and support leaders through periods of ambiguity, transformation and organisational growth
  • Oversee and guide operational HR delivery through a direct report HR Advisor
  • Contribute to the establishment of a scalable and commercially aligned people function
This is an environment suited to individuals who are comfortable navigating ambiguity, making decisions quickly and balancing strategic priorities with operational realities!

About You

This opportunity will suit a commercially minded senior HR leader with experience partnering executive stakeholders through periods of organisational change and transformation. The role calls for a balance of strategic capability, technical HR expertise and operational pragmatism, alongside the ability to build credibility quickly and provide calm, solutions-focused advice in a fast-moving environment.

This role is best suited to someone comfortable stepping into an environment requiring pace, adaptability and maturity, rather than highly structured corporate processes.

The Process

This is an initial 3-month contract opportunity with flexibility across full-time or 4-day arrangements for the right candidate. Interviews will commence immediately, with the successful candidate ideally [AJ1] starting within the coming weeks.

The recruitment process will include an initial discussion with Levyl, followed by interviews with key organisational stakeholders.
Please reach out to Emilia Rodriguez on emilia@levyl.com.au for a confidential discussion.

Levyl encourage diverse, equitable and inclusive recruitment and commit to respond to every applicant. We make selection and shortlist decisions based on your skills, experience, personal attributes and motivators. When you apply on one of our ads please tell us the pronouns that you use and any reasonable adjustments that you may need throughout the interview process.
