The Leaders
This role offers the unique opportunity to work closely with global leadership, reporting directly to the Chief People Officer based in the US. The Australian leadership team has a strong and collaborative relationship with their international counterparts, ensuring alignment on strategy while allowing room for local autonomy. There is also a dotted line reporting structure to a senior partner in Australia!
The Opportunity
This newly created, standalone P&C Manager role is the first of its kind locally and represents a rare opportunity to shape and lead the people function across the Australian offices. You’ll act as the dedicated on-the-ground P&C presence, driving the full employee experience while embedding global initiatives and tailoring practices to the local context. With strong support from both global P&C leadership and engaged local partners, this is a hands-on, strategic role spanning hiring, onboarding, performance, employee relations, engagement, and beyond.

You will have the opportunity to:
- Act as the primary P&C lead across the Australian offices, supporting local leadership on all people matters
- Implement and adapt global P&C policies, ensuring compliance with Australian legislation
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, integration, development, and exit processes
- Provide coaching and guidance on performance management, employee relations, and staff retention
- Partner on compensation, benefits, HRIS, and leave management in line with firm-wide frameworks
- Lead staff and paralegal evaluation processes and support with compensation recommendations
- Maintain personnel records and manage key compliance and payroll activities in collaboration with the Office Administrator
- Participate in global and local projects including engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and diversity efforts
- Stay across local employment legislation and trends, sharing insights with the wider HR team
