180,000.00 - 200,000.00 Year + Super + Benefits

The Company

Boasting a portfolio of state-of-the-art venues, our client is recognised as one of the most diverse and high-performing hospitality and entertainment organisations in Sydney. With a substantial membership base and numerous venues, the business offers a broad range of dining, entertainment and leisure experiences.

Highly regarded for its community-centric approach, the organisation prides itself on delivering exceptional service while maintaining a strong internal culture. With employees operating in a fast-paced, award-driven environment, the business is commercially strong, values-led and committed to continuous improvement without compromising its people-first ethos.

The Leaders

You will work closely with an experienced and commercially astute Executive Leadership Team and an established People & Culture function. The leadership group are collaborative, transparent and pragmatic, with a strong sense of pride in the culture they have built.

They value open dialogue, accountability and thoughtful decision-making. Candidates will be given the support, time and trust to genuinely learn the business, build relationships and understand its nuances before shaping long-term direction.

The Opportunity

To provide steady, hands-on leadership of the P&C function, leading the team to success and driving operations. If you progress to a permanent position you will also develop a clear and endorsed 12–18 month roadmap aligned to business priorities.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing day-to-day leadership across the People & Culture function, guiding and supporting the existing team.
  • Partnering with venue leaders to build trusted relationships and strengthen stakeholder alignment.
  • Ensuring effective utilisation and governance of the HRIS (Dayforce), improving process consistency and data integrity.
  • Reviewing and refining core people processes, identifying practical and commercially sound improvements.
  • Supporting delivery of existing strategic initiatives and embedding a structured approach to workforce planning and engagement.
  • Leading employee relations matters with confidence, including performance management, investigations, disciplinary processes and terminations.
  • Maintaining compliance across awards and industrial frameworks, applying balanced judgement and business acumen.
About You

This role will suit a confident and grounded P&C leader who thrives in operational, multi-site environments such as hospitality, retail or similarly complex industries.

You will bring:
  • Proven experience leading or managing a P&C/HR function within a medium to large workforce.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms (Dayforce exposure highly regarded).
  • The ability to balance operational involvement with strategic thinking.
  • A collaborative, relationship-first leadership style with the maturity to listen, observe and then implement.
  • A practical and commercially minded approach, focused on building on existing strengths and driving meaningful, sustainable improvement.
  • You will value culture and be committed to inclusive and equitable practices that support a diverse workforce.
The Process

Including an initial consultation with a Levyl consultant, the interview process will consist of two stages with members of the Executive Leadership Team.

This position is offered initially as a 3-month contract with immediate start preferred and strong potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

Levyl encourage diverse, equitable and inclusive recruitment solutions and commit to respond to every applicant. We make selection and shortlist decisions based on your skills, experience, personal attributes, and motivators.
When you apply on one of our ads, please tell us the pronouns that you use and any reasonable adjustments you may need throughout the interview process.
