  • Established Medical Practice | Supportive & inclusive environment
  • $30 - $32 per hour + superannuation | Full Time, 38 hour working week

Our client is a long-standing and highly regarded specialist medical practice that has been caring for the community for over 30 years. Due to continued growth, they're looking for a warm, organised and customer-focused Medical Administrator to join their friendly team.

The Opportunity

As the first point of contact for patients, you'll play an integral role in ensuring every patient receives a warm, caring and professional experience from the moment they walk through the door.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Welcoming and assisting patients
  • Managing a busy reception desk and incoming calls
  • Coordinating appointments
  • Processing payments
  • Medicare claiming and reconciliations
  • General administrative support
  • Working closely with doctors, clinical staff and fellow administration team 
About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. This opportunity will suit someone who has:
  • Previous experience in a medical reception, GP or allied health environment
  • Exposure to Medicare processing (highly regarded)
  • Previous experience using practice management software, ideally VIP.net and/or Xestro, would be highly regarded, although full training will be provided
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A caring, empathetic and patient-focused approach
  • A collaborative team mentality
