Contract Type:

Contractor

Location:

Sydney

Salary:

The Company

This is a rare opportunity to join a large-scale, essential infrastructure organisation operating at the heart of Australia’s energy transition. With a strong balance sheet, long-term investment horizon and a mandate that truly matters, the business plays a critical role in keeping the lights on while shaping a more sustainable future.

This organisation is values-led, commercially disciplined and deeply committed to capability uplift across its corporate functions. Its People & Culture team is well regarded internally, operating as true business partners to executive stakeholders.

The Leaders

You will report day to day into a Senior HR Business Partner and work closely with the Corporate portfolio, with a particular focus on Finance. This includes partnering directly with a highly capable CFO and their leadership team. You will also have support from the General Manager of Business Partnering.

This environment is intelligent, fast-paced and outcomes driven. Leaders value thoughtful advice, practical solutions and commercially sound people strategy. This is not a transactional HR environment. It is consultative, forward looking and aligned to enterprise priorities.

The Opportunity

This fixed term contract will initially run for 3 months, with strong potential to extend to 6 months and beyond. The business needs immediate support to help drive momentum across several key people initiatives.
Your priorities will include:
  • Talent and succession planning: supporting and progressing talent reviews within the Finance and other portfolios, ensuring succession frameworks are practical, embedded and aligned to business risk and future capability needs.
  • Leadership coaching and uplift: Working with a cohort of technically strong leaders who would benefit from deeper coaching and development. This will involve performance conversations, leadership capability support and partnering on people challenges with confidence and credibility.
  • Organisation Development initiatives: Contributing to OD activity aligned to enterprise priorities, ensuring the Finance and other functions continue to evolve in line with strategic growth and regulatory complexity.
  • Culture and values embedment: supporting the rollout and embedment of a refreshed enterprise-wide culture and values program. This will require influence, consistency and the ability to translate messaging into practical behavioural expectations.
This is a true partnering role. You will be visible, trusted and expected to operate at a senior level from day one.

About You

You are an experienced HR Business Partner who is comfortable operating within mid sized, complex corporate environments. You will bring:
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leaders, ideally within Finance or other corporate portfolios
  • Strong capability across talent, succession and leadership development
  • Confidence in coaching technically focused leaders
  • Exposure to culture and values programs within enterprise settings
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to balance risk with pragmatism
You are able to start immediately or within a very short timeframe. You are credible, calm and comfortable stepping into an established team and adding value quickly!

The Next Step

If you’re looking to step into a meaningful contract within a nationally significant organisation, and you enjoy partnering at executive level while rolling your sleeves up on real delivery, we would welcome a confidential conversation! This role is available for an immediate start, hybrid working (outskirts of Sydney CBD for office location) and may offer future career possibilities. This hire will be one interview with Levyl followed by an interview with the client, prior to references and a confirmed start. For any quick questions, please contact Sarah Bolitho on 0499 027 469 or sarah@levyl.com.au. We look forward to hearing from you.

Levyl encourage diverse, equitable and inclusive recruitment solutions and commit to respond to every applicant. We make selection and shortlist decisions based on your skills, experience, personal attributes, and motivators. Should you be successful for interview, we will tender you an interview accommodation checklist, so that you can let us know how we can support you to perform at your best.
