The Company

Our client is a global financial services business, looking to establish their first Employee Relations CoE. The Leaders

The levelling of this role is still being determined, but what we can share with you is you’ll be working very closely with the Chief People Officer and a Senior People & Culture Manager based in the UK. This team is a collaborative, down to earth and high performing bunch who will equip you with the tools and support you need to succeed.

The Opportunity

If you’re looking for a unique and exceptional role within ER, read on, this is it!
  • Strategic design focus – You won’t be buried in casework. The organisation has low ER volume but high complexity. The real impact will come from designing policies, processes, escalation protocols and training, and ensuring they're embedded at all levels.
  • Board and business alignment – you’ll have executive sponsorship and a clear 12-month mandate to reduce ER risk, uplift psychosocial safety, and create clarity across the organisation.
  • Purposeful timing – With a shift to Workday on the horizon, a review of the operating model, and psychosocial safety reform front of mind, this role lands at a pivotal moment in the team’s growth.
Specifically, you will focus on:
  • Building and launching a global ER strategy and oversight model – clarifying roles, responsibilities and reporting from board to front line.
  • Enhancing and harmonising policies and frameworks to address misconduct, performance, grievance, and psychosocial risk – with input from Legal, and Risk.
  • Coaching and uplifting ER capability across the HRBP network globally – providing the tools and training that builds confidence and commercial judgement.
  • Embedding trauma-informed best practice, Respect@Work compliance and a foundation for psychosocial safety.
  • Re-mediation of a small number of existing ER matters – complex, but low volume.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations expert with global experience building a strategy and framework from the ground up. Ideally you have worked in asset management, financial services or professional services. You're excited by the prospect of working closely with the CPO, contributing at a strategic level, and being part of a successful, growing, and well respected financial services powerhouse.

The Process

The recruitment process will provide you with a great opportunity to meet key stakeholders, ask questions and understand the journey this company is on. Two to three stages, then references and background checks.

The salary on offer will be commensurate with experience and within the target range of $180-200,000 + superannuation. Hybrid 3:2 working arrangements from the Sydney CBD with flexibility around start and finish times to accommodate global calls.

We’re moving quickly on this one so please apply today or contact Antony Jones on 0448 198 544 or antony@levyl.com.au with any confidential queries.

Levyl encourage diverse, equitable and inclusive recruitment solutions and commit to respond to every applicant. We make selection and shortlist decisions based on your skills, experience, personal attributes, and motivators.
