The Company
Our client is a global leader in AI tech, with operations spanning Australia, the US, India and China. Partnering with major tech companies like Meta and Amazon, this company has finetuned an innovative service where they enable better AI outcomes by providing diverse, high-quality data. Due to a transformative period of growth and process refinement, this organisation is currently looking to hire a Talent Acquisition expert to head up their efforts globally, designing and building a TA strategy and enhancing the experience, outcomes and strategic alignment of this function!
The Leaders
In reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Talent Acquisition Lead will work closely with the SLT to reshape and execute the global talent acquisition strategy. This will include collaborating closely with the Head of Employee Experience and Operations, and see you work both tactically and strategically to embed best practice recruitment whilst driving real time outcomes.
The Opportunity
As the Talent Acquisition Lead, you will take on a pivotal role, managing a geographically dispersed team and leading the evolution of TA for this global tech brand. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing a global talent acquisition strategy aligned with the organisations growth objectives.
- Leading a team of three direct reports based in Manila, India, and the US, fostering collaboration across time zones.
- Overseeing the development and sophistication of recruitment operations, including technical, corporate services, and sales roles.
- Managing senior level appointments into the organisation whilst working on the development of proactive talent pipelines.
- Building a compelling EVP to attract diverse and top-tier talent in competitive markets.
- Driving the development and integration of DE&I initiatives into TA to enhance hiring practices and strengthen candidate experience.
- Streamlining processes, introducing best-in-class systems (Workday or Lever ATS), and embedding data-driven recruitment metrics.
- Delivering solutions on strategic workforce planning exercises; and
- Balancing agility with compliance to meet governance standards in a listed, global operating environment.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a pragmatic, hands-on operator who thrives working in a fast-paced, global environment. With extensive experience in talent acquisition, you will bring a track record of managing dispersed teams and leading the build of recruitment strategies ideally in the technology sector. Preferable is proven expertise in recruiting technical and corporate roles, particularly in the AI industry and working experience with Workday or Lever would be advantageous! Demonstrated outcomes in driving process improvement, developing an employer brand and embedding DE&I into hiring practices alongside a collaborative and innovative mindset, capable of balancing strategic priorities with operational delivery will also be key.
Please note you must be flexible and able to adapt to some regular early morning calls with the US teams and have some flexibility to work across time zones. The corporate Sydney office is currently based on Sydney’s North Shore however there is conversation about relocating closer to the city. Hybrid flexible working arrangements are in place and endorsed. A target salary band of $170-180k + super and discretionary bonus is on offer.
