People & Culture Advisor | 6-Month Contract | Attractive Rem!

Generalist role with a core focus on the provision of risk-based, bespoke, and effective HR advice to stakeholders.

  • Play a crucial role in uplifting manager capability + support ER processes
  • 6 month contract, immediate start

The Leaders

This role sits as part of a shared services style operating model, which will see you join a robust, high-performing team who collectively act as the dependable & knowledgeable first point of contact for HR queries from managers. You will report directly into the Director of Manager Advisory services, a knowledgeable and commercial HR leader with a down-to-earth, approachable style.

The Opportunity

A generalist position in nature, this is a hands-on advisory role where you’ll have a strong focus on coaching leaders and resolving people matters. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:  

  • Respond to and resolve HR issues raised to you by people leaders across the organisation;
  • Support leaders with key people matters including performance management, talent acquisition and benefits;
  • Handle employee relations cases including disciplinary procedures where required, collaborating with and escalating to specialist ER and Safety teams if necessary;
  • Contribute to the execution of tasks across the employee lifecycle;
  • Proactively work to uplift the leadership capability of managers, empowering them to manage their teams as effectively as possible;
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of P&C policies, procedures and frameworks.

About You

This role is suited to an Advisor level HR professional with a well-rounded generalist skillset, who has worked as part of a large, shared services-style team.

You will have a strong understanding of the employee lifecycle and other core HR functions. As such, you will be confident in building relationships with stakeholders and leveraging your technical knowledge to provide tailored advice on a case-by-case basis.

A fundamental knowledge of ER processes will be highly regarded, as will any exposure to change management and organisational change.

Finally, you will thrive in a collaborative setting and have a high level of self-motivation and drive.
