The Leaders

This opportunity reports through to the Head of HR who is considered an influential leader with a wealth of experience in the financial services sector. Their collaborative approach allows their team to operate and deliver on their strengths while also providing stretch opportunities for professional and personal development. You will be part of a high performing HR team and will work closely with regional payroll managers to drive consistency and knowledge sharing to enhance the function.

The Opportunity

As the APAC Payroll Manager, you will lead the payroll activities across the region and work closely with the finance team and HR peers to deliver payroll data to external vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of payroll. You will be the conduit to external vendors, acting as the key point of contact and ensure that payroll activities are delivered inline with service level agreements and adherence to internal compliance frameworks.  

As the payroll SME, you will own the governance and quality process to ensure that there is a mitigation of internal risk but also meeting external regulatory requirements. You will have the opportunity to enhance the way in which data is collected and presented to create seamless processes and put in place tools and frameworks to support this.

Further, our client is on an exciting journey to really uplift the payroll function through a global payroll project and you will have an opportunity to play a key part in this, working with regional payroll managers and external vendors to bring this project to life.  

About You

What will see you succeed in this role is your experience delivering payroll across the APAC region. Sound operational payroll knowledge is also key as you will use this to help drive quality and accuracy of payroll data and processes.

Superior stakeholder engagement skills are key as you will manage the relationship directly with external vendors and influencing outcomes aligned to contractual agreements. Experience working on process improvement initiatives or large-scale projects is advantageous.

Above all, an eye for detail and strong communication ability will see you have impact and deliver excellence. A team player and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment will see you achieve positive outcomes.

The Process

The process will consist of an initial meeting with a Levyl consultant followed by what we anticipate being one-to-two interviews followed by reference checks. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check which includes criminal history and bankruptcy checks.
